What will you do with 2013’s – 525,948 minutes?
I was listening to the powerful song Seasons of Love from the Broadway show “Rent”. There was a time in my life that the thought of 525,948 minutes would have pissed me off, literally. Every day was dreaded. I viewed life as a chore. Everything was a disappointment. I didn’t understand why I was here, but I truly hoped it wasn’t for too long. That was my truth.
2013 has 525,948 minutes in it. What will I do with them? Today that thought actually energizes me. There are those practical “to do” list items such as growing a successful business, moving near my Mom, expanding our blog, continuing to eat right and exercise.
Then there are those ideas and thoughts that are so powerful and moving that I can barely wait to see them play out. How many women will be empowered? How many people will allow me to be their life coach? Will I continue to be of service to another women who needs recovery? Will I be a good example to my niece, nephew, and godsons? Will I run another half marathon? How will my vision continue to unfold? And just when I think I know EXACTLY what I am going to do with those 525,948 minutes, the Universe reminds me that all I have is 1,440 minutes in today. Just today. I suspect some pretty amazing things will occur in the 1,440 minutes of today! They always do.
So I will take Becky’s practical advice from yesterday’s blog, and chunk down my extensive “to do” list into small, specific manageable tasks. I will bask in the knowledge that these tiny steps are the paving stones that will lead me right up to my big fat dream. And while I can’t wait to see what the next 525,948 minutes will bring me, I will focus on the 1,440 right in front of me.
One day at a time!
