What do you do–when all you really want to do–is give up?
Most of you know me, I am a pretty optimistic person. I believe our greatest days are yet to come. I just know the Universe wants only the best for us and I watch in awe as something amazing happens everyday. I even start my day off singing Amazing (see previous blog). Yet lately, no matter how much “mind cheerleading” I do, I find myself thinking — what the hell am I doing all this for? We are working so hard, why is nothing happening? Could I have been so wrong about the direction I am supposed to be heading? Why am I even here? Do you ever feel like this? Maybe you are feeling this way right now. If I have to be honest, I am feeling a little confused, a tad scared and really tired. Please tell me you have felt like this.
Just as I am about to give in and give up, there is that moment of clarity. I go back and read all the supportive comments you girlies gave to Becky as she honestly admits her struggles to stop smoking. I re-read the powerful submissions by our guest bloggers. Women who bravely put their stories out to the world in an effort to help another woman, and in return they receive unconditional love and support because they courageously took that step. Give in? Give up? Not these girlies! Doubt, fear and anxiety are subtle foes that sabotage our greatest achievements yet to come. They do not deserve such power. They cannot bring us down. They cannot stop a woman on a mission
And then more clarity. This is why we do it. This is why we are here. WE are each other’s greatest cheerleaders! We have the power to empower. So if you are feeling tired, scared or confused like me, don’t give up 5 minutes before the miracle happens, because it only takes a moment. One moment changes everything……. and your moment is just about to happen! Can you feel it?

Saturday’s Question – Have you ever gotten THAT look?
Good morning Lipstick Chatters!
We (your favorite Lipstick committee members
) have been talking a great deal about THAT look. You know the one we are talking about (see earlier blog). THAT look you can only get from another woman as she looks you up and down with disapproval, judgment and maybe even disgust. For even the most confident of women, that look is unsettling, unnerving and upsetting. It is THAT look that can’t help but get on you, really stick to you. All of us at some time or another have been on the painful receiving end of THAT look, and as much as we hate to admit it, we have given THAT look. In our discussions about this, we realized that in our past, we had actually given each other THAT look. It made us feel really bad knowing that we made the other feel so bad.
So, we have made a commitment to each other, and we are now telling all of you and the Universe, that we will no longer be the purveyors of THAT look. We are committed to empowering women, not demoralizing or judging them. We are holding each other accountable and giving you permission to do the same. We will be part of the solution, no longer the problem.
Today we ask have you ever given or received THAT look? How did it make you feel? Have you ever stood up to the person who gave you THAT look? What can we do to stop anyone and everyone from ever giving or getting THAT look again?
Let’s work together girlies! Together we are empowered!
Much respect,
Fee & Becky
