What is Love, Baby Don’t Hurt Me, Don’t Hurt Me No More!
I sat this weekend and watched Under the Tuscan Sun. I loved it, and with Valentines Day around the corner, I couldn’t help connect with it as a single person. Inundated with commercials and talk of love and relationships, I watched as one woman navigated her way from love and loss to peace and acceptance.
The line that struck me was as follows. “My prayers to Saint Lorenzo were quickly answered, and I realized I already had someone to cook for. Plenty of someones.”
And with Valentines Day being the theme of everyone and everything around me, I think of that quote and am reminded that single or partnered, love abounds. I chop, and marinate. I broil and reduce. I set the table and light candles and they come. The ones who love me. We eat and laugh. We share toast’s and stories. We laugh some more.
I have so many someones. I love so many, as they do me. The universe made that clear to me as I reflected on the beauty shared in the lines and the landscape of Tuscany. Beauty is all around us, as is love. It may not be the love we desire at any given moment, but it is love none the less. And it fills us and feeds us until that romantic love we desire finally finds us.
So we wait. And the lesson to me is that we wait until the universe brings us what we need. Not what we want! We wait until that one comes to us who will not take us for granted. The one who will accept our faults, and purpose to put us first and meet our needs. The one who will sacrifice self and pride because their love for us is greater. The one who ultimately through actions of selfless love brings safety and security.
So whether you are waiting, or wanting or sharing in love,
Find the love that is around you everyday!
Share love with those close to you everyday!
Celebrate the love you have everyday!
Let the Universe always teach you how to love deeper and stronger!
Peace,
Warren
Meditation Monday – Can you become Open to Receive?
Good Monday Morning Lipstick Chatters! We are here with our second Meditation Monday. Today if you choose we will meditate on being Open to Receive. A difficult concept for so many women. I tried to put the India Arie “Strength, Courage & Wisdom” song at the end, but my technical skills are still lacking. I hope to have that figured out by next time. Again, please give us any and all suggestions and feedback. We are committed to making this better each week. The video will be posted under our Meditation Monday tab, as well as my You Tube channel. Finally, if you think that posting the written transcript of the meditation would be helpful, please let us know in the comments section. Namaste my friends! Fee
