Saturday’s Question – Are you willing to think & ACT outside the box?
Wikipedia defines “thinking outside the box” as to think differently, unconventionally, or from a new perspective. As we have discussed many times here, thinking is great, but without action, nothing changes. For Becky and I, 2012 had been a year of acting and pursuing EVERYTHING outside the box, outside our comfort zone and even outside the realm of what we thought possible. From writing this blog and exposing our true selves to you, to exploring a different spiritual path, to learning to speak our truths, to taking the Chopra challenge, to standing on a covered bridge and throwing our intentions into the pool of consciousness. Having the willingness to think & act outside the box has changed us in ways that we could not have imagined. On numerous occasions, we have sat back and said to each other, holy sh*t!
Have you thought and acted yourself outside the box to a new perspective? What does that look like to you? Do you have any advice for someone who may be just thinking and unable to pull the trigger into action?
I went even further outside the box and drafted a modified version of one of our favorite prayers, the “Serenity Prayer”. This prayer has saved our a**es more than once, but for today this version gave us strength, hope and inner peace. Please feel free to use it, and if it’s too much outside your comfort zone, leave it here.
God…grant me the serenity to trust and accept that I am exactly where I am supposed to be;
The courage to keep believing in my dreams; and
The wisdom to know and practice what will make these dreams my life!
In gratitude and peace,
Fee & Becky
