Let’s Hear You Roar!

Earlier this week Fee thanked the women who have served our country and fought for our freedom. I couldn’t help but think that to leave family, children and home must be even harder for a woman then for a man as woman are the nurturers and care givers. I can’t help but realize the inner strength it must take to do what these women have done.
I have been called a man hater on more than one occasion. Interestingly, I have only been called this by men! Why? Because I often point out the reality that most men could not walk in the shoes of most women for a day, much less any extended period of time. The multi-tasking that is required to raise children, run a household, work and maintain a relationship is beyond what most men have the capacity for.
In addition, women tend to carry roles where they have no choice on a day-to-day basis but to push through and get done what must be done. The kids have to be clean, fed and cared for even if mom is sick. The car pool goes on and the diapers need to be changed. Most men don’t leave the bed when they are sick. They generally don’t have to. They have a woman to make sure things get done!
I say this to point out an important fact. Whether you are a veteran or a mom, you are called to demonstrate strength and perseverance on a daily basis. You teach, nurture, discipline and protect your loved ones. You set aside your needs and desires for the good of others. You push through when you would rather run and hide. You have strength that is demonstrated on a daily basis but often goes unnoticed by others and unacknowledged by you!
So in your day-to-day life, please take a look and
- See your strength!
- Be confident in who you are and what you are capable of!
- Know that what you provide changes lives!
- Be cognizant of when you need to refuel, knowing that doing so is not a weakness but rather strength!
Peace,
Warren
