Saturday’s Question – Who or what was your life-changer this week?
Good Morning Lipstick Chatters! Today Becky and I thought we would try something new for Saturday’s. We thought that not only would be we ask a question of you, but we would each answer the question as well. As always, your feedback is more than appreciated! So, first what we mean by life-changers – those people or experiences that have the ability to change your life and how you view the world. While almost all of your reading this have changed our lives, we are narrowing it down to this week.
Fee: If you follow me on Facebook you know that this week I met the Hungry Girl a/k/a Lisa Lillian and her book tour director, Lisa Friedman. The women at Hungry Girl changed my life. At the 70 pound mark of my weight loss, I was bored, frustrated and thinking about quitting. Right at the “almost” giving up point, someone told me about a free daily email written by the Hungry Girl (HG). What could I lose? She was hungry, I am always hungry, so I subscribed. Each day delivered to my email were tasty new products, mouth-watering easy recipes and simple desserts that satisfied my huge sweet tooth. By using the valuable recipes and information, I was able to lose the remaining 70 pounds and keep it off for over a year Thank you Hungry Girl for helping me and over 1,000,0000 subscribers eat fun but healthy! You guys rock! If you are at that “almost” giving up point, please don’t do it until you check out the HG and let them be your life-changer!
Becky: My life changer this week was publishing my post about my son. To date, it is the most private thing that I’ve shared. I had Kathleen look it over and was hoping that she would say that it was terrible and that I should post something about faux paint techniques instead, but she didn’t let me off the hook. Instead, she walked me through my moment of stage fright. And I’m so grateful she did.
If you follow the blog you know that I adopted “I am courageous” as my “I AM” statement. Thursday I had to work really hard to find my courage and fight through the fear that comes with putting yourself out there.
This week I realized, I’m a little more courageous than I was the week before. Thank you all for being here with encouraging words- I am absolutely blown away by your kindness!
