Please see what I see!

Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of faith is to see what you believe.  St. Augustine

As a certified life coach, I am trained to ask powerful questions that evoke strong responses, often facilitating change.  So today I ask you, do you really see what I see? If I could give each of you a gift, it would be the ability to see yourself the way the people that love you see you.  It’s so beautiful, warm and safe here.  Why is it so easy to take some stranger’s judgment to our heart, and ignore the love, respect and admiration of those who actually know us?

Almost all of us struggle with our self-perception from time to time, needing reassurance that we are doing OK.  This is human nature.  But there are those of you, who for the life of you, cannot see your own magnificence.  What you see is never good enough, never smart enough, never pretty enough, successful or skinny enough.  You believe that everyone else has their sh*t together except for you.   For you I do not ask the question but I send you a plea, please see what we see!   Our eyes see your beauty, kindness, intelligence and sense of humor.  We are focused on your feisty or gentle spirit, your love of family and friends, and your giant, generous heart!  We see every amazing thing about you!

Today can you become more aware of how those who love you, see you?  Really try to feel that love your children bring when they have a problem that only you can solve.  You are their everything at that moment.  Become cognizant of the times your parents are telling a story about you and how they glow as they share.  Be mindful of all the times your boss and co-workers request your help and rely on your specific knowledge.  And if none of those do the trick, go grab your pet and watch them watching you.  Talk about unconditional admiration!  Nothing beats that. Now as you pull all that love and admiration into your head, allow it to travel to your heart because once it gets there, there is no “un-do”.  You are more than enough……you are amazing because you are you!
