Hi girlies (& all other readers :)!!!

I can’t tell you how excited I am to begin this journey.  Many heartfelt thanks to my co-blogger and friend, Becky, for sharing her idea.  Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Kathleen Fee, (but you can just call me “Fee”)  and I am ……I am……well many things.  We know that “I am” is the ultimate Universe statement, so here’s what I think I know today.  I am a child of God, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, an ICF certified life coach, irish,  a recovered alcoholic, a runner, a weight watcher, a spiritual seeker and now a blogger.  I have been called many other things….. but that’s for a different time and a different blog :) .

In all the many things that “I am”, I suspect recovered alcoholic may have jumped out at you.  Please know, I do not disclose my recovery lightly or to shock you.  Disclosure is the ultimate personal decision.   I share this with you because my journey into wellness, into the woman that God intended me to be, began on August 6, 2002 when I took my last drink and drug.  Since that day so many amazing things have happened, you would have to be me to believe the whole thing!  I grew spiritually enough to find my true calling, Life Coaching.  I became quiet enough to hear my doctor when he suggested it was time to really get healthy now that the alcohol is gone, beginning the 3 ½ year journey of losing 140 pounds through diet and exercise.  I became confident enough to believe that the “fat girl”, who could barely walk 10 minutes a day, would (not could) become a runner, running my first half marathon on my Mom’s birthday this year. I became enlightened enough to believe that my life and the Universe’s plan are supposed to be Divinely synchronized, and I became courageous enough to trust that if I continue to do the next right thing, amazing things will and do happen.

In this space I commit to you to be honest, sincere and supportive.  At times I may get irreverent and funny, but it will never be intended to hurt or harm.  If it does…. please call me out….since that is the only way to grow.  Thanks for allowing me to be part of your day and know that my day is more amazing because you are in it.  P.S. That is me crossing the finish line of my first half marathon ;)
